Reincar…what?
“Nation”. That’s how you finish the word. Reincarnation. Why the hell would we ever consider talking about a completely off-the-wall subject like this? Well tell ya what folks, even though I’m not completely thrilled by the term “reincarnation” – or even “transmigration” - for that matter, the general concept merits at least a brief discussion. Think of it as just another step to promote thinking and positive questioning of our personal “programming” and resultant belief systems.
OK, I’ve thought about it and have decided that I’ll make you a promise here and now never (unless I have a brain fart) to refer to reincarnation or transmigration again. Fair enough? Sooo… since we’re gradually working our way toward becoming an ecologically conscientious society, I’ll just use the word “recycle” instead. (I don’t know about you, but I think that there are a bunch of spiritual thinkers out there who have used entirely too many big, confusing words anyway. Maybe it has something to do with my being an old straight-talkin’ farm boy. I dunno…)
We’ll keep this short and to the point. If we are basically spiritual entities who normally hang out in the Great Land Beyond the Veil – and are here on earth in a human-type animal body to attend the University of Earth and get a little smarter, it seems to me that none of us are likely bright enough to pick up all the information we need in the first time through our classes. Think about it. There’s an awful lot of information to absorb and experiences to have before we can even start to believe we’re making much progress down the road of spiritual development. Besides, I think our Master Teacher is smart enough to realize that none of us would be successful in trying to do it all in a single enrollment because we’d all wig out completely before the fifth trimester. Hells bells, a bunch of us are practically in overload anyway and to even think that we would have another 347 years to go to get our degree would force us right into SpazzLand. Nah, not a good idea at all.
I think the recycling approach makes more sense. From an instructional viewpoint, it actually
makes a lot of sense. We could attend
our classes at the U of E, learn and experience stuff, then go back home for a while
to validate and reinforce those things we learned. Then we could come back again and repeat the
process – this time focusing on either additional reinforcement of some of the
lessons that we didn’t quite grasp or working on new concepts altogether. Or maybe there’s even a different university
somewhere that we might attend – the
For those of you who are thinking that I’m goofier than a gopher in heat, think about this. Haven’t you ever been around very young children who seem to have a really good handle on life? They’re alert, curious and early on, are asking rather advanced questions. And their level of comprehension and maturity seems to be well above average. Have you ever heard these youngsters referred to as “old souls”? Maybe – just maybe – that’s not a completely inaccurate description. I think it’s an interesting possibility, don’t you?
